Hello,
my name is Axel Brandt. That sounds pretty German, doesn’t it?
Indeed, I am a German passport holder but lived more outside of Germany than inside it’s frontiers. I guess in spite of that fact, I kept some German traits like thoroughness and precision in business matters. This in combination with my life long enthusiasm for health and fitness gave me enough confidence for starting an ambitious spa project in Cape Town about 10 years ago: to create the first holistic 5 * destination spa in South Africa.
Working my way up a steep learning curve and after over 4 years of blood, sweat and tears, the effort was finally rewarded when selected amongst the Top 20 Destination Spas in the world by the reputable Conde Nast Traveller Magazine.
I believe that I gained a number of valuable insights on that often very rocky road – at that time much less travelled than today! -, which might be beneficial to many newbies in the spa business. Most of those insights still apply today as:
